Client feedback from Dortmund and the region
It is the best translation agency in the whole of North Rhine-Westphalia. I was there today and collected my documents, everything went very quickly and smoothly, a very friendly and competent team, I am very satisfied and would not want to go anywhere else. Many heartfelt thanks to the nice team at Eurolingua.
O. Z., Google review, September 2025, translated from German
I had my birth certificate translated at Eurolingua. The friendly staff sorted everything out quickly and simply by email. The price was fair, too. Happy to come back.
Gabriel S., Google review, July 2026, translated from German
Very friendly service, competent and professional. Not overpriced. Above all, a straightforward process and communication.
Marcin K., Google review, August 2026, translated from German
Two certificates, externally audited without interruption since 1997
Eurolingua is certified to ISO 17100 and ISO 9001, certified by DEKRA, valid until 2 January 2028 and 7 March 2027. What matters most in practice is mandatory revision under the dual control principle: a second qualified linguist compares every translation with the source text word for word, looking for omissions and errors of meaning.
That second reading rules out same-day delivery in all but exceptional cases, and is why authorities send translations back less often. For companies in the Ruhr area, ISO 9001 means every order is documented and traceable, which supplier audits regularly check. Details: certification.
ISO 17100:2015
Translation services: qualified translators, mandatory revision, terminology.
ISO 9001:2015
Quality management: defined processes, documented orders, complaint handling.

Questions about placing an order in Dortmund
Do you have a sworn translator in Dortmund?
Yes. In North Rhine-Westphalia a sworn translator is officially court-authorised (gerichtlich ermächtigt); sworn (beeidigt) applies to interpreters. We work with translators authorised by the Higher Regional Court (Oberlandesgericht) Hamm, whose certification the Dortmund registry office, the immigration office (Ausländerbehörde) and the district government (Bezirksregierung Arnsberg) accept. Authorisation is per language direction, so name yours. How certification works: certified translations.
How is the price of a translation worked out?
Per standard line of 50 to 55 characters including spaces. Language combination, subject area and any text already translated set the price. We can only give a reliable price once we have seen the document; you then receive a non-binding quote, usually on the same working day.
Do you work for clients outside Dortmund?
Yes. Written orders run by email and post across Germany and abroad, so distance plays no part. It only matters for drop-off in person and for interpreting, where we plan in travel time.
Send the file or a scan with the target language and purpose, and you will usually have a quote on the same working day.
